ABOUT THE STUDIO
An editorial studio for creative living
The meaning of Affogato
The name means “drowned” — espresso poured over gelato — and it's our whole philosophy: warmth over structure, art melting with utility, ritual guiding routine.
Everything we make is designed like a European magazine and built to actually be used, in InDesign, Canva, any PDF app, on an iPad, or on cream paper. Fewer things, made carefully, released slowly.
“I was tired of choosing between beautiful and useful — so I began making the tools I wanted.”
I started Affogato Design Co. because I was tired of choosing between beautiful and useful. The planners that looked good didn't work; the ones that worked were not my style. So I began making the tools I wanted — quiet, editorial, easy to edit — and designing the in-between moments of a creative life as carefully as the finished work. Everything in our studio is actually made by us, not assembled. Thank you for letting me pour a little warmth over your days.
— Olivia Young, Founder and CEO of Affogato Design Co.
